Fire & Flood Restoration Technician

We are recruiting a Fire & Flood Restoration Technician working in the Central Belt and Scottish Borders.

You will be part of a team working as a unit to provide the best quality work and service. You will provide the best solutions to all water, fire & accidental damage within domestic and commercial properties. Whilst also working to ensure that the Company equipment and services are delivered to the customer in a friendly and efficient way establishing strong relationships with customers and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Within this role you will be expected to:

  • Attend all new jobs allocated by dispatched, by the Operations Team to include all domestic and commercial perils
  • Identify and follow through on new business opportunities in the area ensuring company and quality procedures are adhered to (Simplicity, Health & Safety, Quality Procedures)
  • Carry out moisture surveys and drying techniques as required
  • Prepare equipment for use and ensure instruments used are calibrated
  • Liaise with customers/loss adjusters/builders/insurance companies/policy holders etc
  • Review and making recommendations for new methods and techniques with Team Manager, sharing knowledge and experience
  • Ensure van is equipped, clean and serviced according to manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Ensure ‘live time’ inputting of reports in line with quality procedures
  • Update ‘live jobs’ on a daily  basis
  • Ensure own, and others, health and safety and ensure that technicians are fully trained on all aspects relating to their role
  • maintain a visit log for monitoring of jobs and effective forward bookings
  • On call on a Pro Rata basis
